HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE BURFI RECIPE?

PREP: Grease the pan with ghee or butter. (I used 9×5 inches loaf pan and set the burfi only in half of the pan.)
1) Heat the mawa in a pan on medium heat.
2) It will look crumbly and starts to melt. we don’t want to cook the khoya. So don’t let it brown. So just melt.
3) Add sugar. also add milk
4) Mix well and continue cooking.
5) Cook it till thickens. It will take about 4 minutes. Stir continuously. Don’t cook it for long otherwise, it will be chewy.
6) Take half of the mixture in the greased pan. and spread in a pan evenly.
7) Add cocoa powder in other half mixture in pan. Mix well.
8) Spread on top of plain burfi layer.
9) Sprinkle chopped nuts and press it lightly so nuts will stick to burfis.
10) Let it cool completely and let the burfi set. If you are in hurry pop burfi tray in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
11) After it sets cut them into 9 squares using a sharp knife. Remove them gently from the pan.

VARIATIONS:

  • You can skip the addition of cocoa powder. And make the single-layered plain mawa burfi.

    How to make veg manchurian

    1) to make balls, chop all the vegetables finely using knife or use food processor or chopper. Take vegetables (carrot, cabbage, green onion, capsicum) into food processor jar.
    2) Pulse it few times or till they are finely chopped or minced.
    3) Remove it to a bowl. Add salt and peper.
    4) Also add all purpose flour and corn flour.
    5) Mix well and try to pinch together using your hand. It should come together and you will be able to form a ball. If it is crumbly and dry then you can sprinkle little water and try binding together. Or if it is too sticky then add more flour.
    6) Start shaping all the balls, you will get around 10 balls.
    7) Now heat the oil in a pan on medium heat for deep frying. Once hot add balls into the oil.
    8) Keep moving and turning for even browning.
    9) Once they are fried and golden browned from all the sides, remove them using slotted spatula.
    10) And put them into paper towel lined plate. Fry the second batch similarly.
    11) Now to prepare the corn flour mixture, take corn flour in a small bowl.
    12) Add 2 tablespoons of water and make lump free mixture. Keep it aside.
    13) Now heat the sesame oil in a pan on medium heat. Once hot add finely chopped ginger, garlic and green chilies.
    14) Saute them for 1 minute, do not brown the garlic. Now add chopped onions. Mix and continue cooking.
    15)  Cook till they are soft and translucent or light pink. Again do not brown the onions, just soften them.
    16) Add chilli sauce and vinegar. Mix well. Now add corn flour mixture.
    17) 23) Mix and let it simmer for 2 minutes or till you get nice thick of sauce. Make sure it is not watery. Now add salt and pepper to taste. You can add red chilli flakes too. Mix well.
    18) Now add fried manchurian balls.
    19) Toss them and coat all the balls with that sauce. Lastly sprinkle spring onions greens and serve immediately.

Serving suggestion: While serving the indian chinese meal, serve this veg manchurian dry as a starter dish. Many prefers to have it as a side dish with hakka noodles

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies

    best chocolate chip cookie recipe

The cookie dough is made from standard ingredients: flour, leavener, salt, sugar, butter, egg, & vanilla. It’s the ratios of those ingredients that make this recipe stand out from the rest. Mix 2 and 1/4  cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and my favorite: cornstarch. I use 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of cornstarch in this recipe.
Why cornstarch? Cornstarch gives the cookies that ultra soft consistency we all know and love. Plus, it helps keep the cookies beautifully thick.
Use melted butter in this chocolate chip cookie recipe. Most of the cookies on my website call for creaming softened butter with the sugars. chocolate chip cookies require melted butter.

Tips to Make the Best Paneer Butter Masala

Okay, I have heard this so many times – that my paneer butter masala doesn’t taste like the one at restaurants.

Here’s what you need to do to make it absolutely perfect!

Use nuts in the gravy: yes, it makes the sauce thick and creamy and so you need to use nuts in the recipe.

Cashews and almonds both work, you can even use a combination of both.

However, do not use a lot of nuts because then the final curry will be super thick and I wouldn’t recommend that.

I suggest using 10-15 cashews for 250 grams of paneer.

Be generous with cream and butter: I am not asking you to use 1 cup of both but don’t use ½ teaspoon either!

This is an indulgent dish and so you need to little generous with fat if you are looking for that restaurant style taste.

Use minimal spices: this recipe doesn’t need a lot of spices. A bit of garam masala and cardamom powder is plenty.

I also add little chili powder and Kashmiri red chili powder (mainly for the color).

The flavors of this dish come from fresh tomatoes, cashews, ginger, garlic, butter and cream!

Homemade paneer makes its even better: I know it’s not always possible but if you can, use homemade paneer.

It really makes so much difference. Here for this recipe, I have used store bought paneer but I often make it with homemade paneer and you can tell that it’s way better.

Add sugar to balance the flavors and for that subtle sweet taste: paneer butter masala should have a little sweet taste to it and you get that from adding cream and sugar.

I don’t use a lot of sugar, only 1 teaspoon but that helps in balancing the flavors.

TIP: If using store bought paneer, soak it in hot water for 20 minutes before using in the recipe.

It makes a lot of difference. Also remember to not over cook your paneer else it will become rubbery and chewy.

Hope you guys enjoy this recipe of paneer butter masala or paneer makhani, whatever you may call it.
    Method

1- Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves and saute for few seconds.

Then add the the onion, garlic, ginger and saute for 2 to 3 minutes until the onion is translucent.

2- Add the tomatoes and cashews and mix.

3- Then add 1 cup of water.

4- Cover the pan and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.

5- After 15 minutes, remove the pan from heat. Remove the bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cloves.

6- Let the mixture cool down a bit and then transfer to a blender. It’s important to let it cool down a bit else it will all blow up from the mixer.

7- Grind the masala to a smooth paste and set aside.

8- To the same pan now add 2 tablespoons butter along with remaining 1 teaspoon oil on medium heat.

9- Once the butter melts, add the red chili powder and the Kashmiri red chili powder and fry for few seconds. This will give the curry a nice red color.

10- Then add the ground paste back into the pan along with the garam masala (start with 1/2 teaspoon and add the remaining 1/4 teaspoon at the end only if you feel like the curry needs that extra bit of garam masala), cardamom powder, sugar, salt and tomato paste (if using).
